With the month of December quickly approaching, our minds turn to the end of the year and what we, as employers, should be doing to prepare for the end of one year and the beginning of the next. Common questions asked at this time of year include:
- How to handle statutory holidays this year and next?
- Have employees taken all their vacation time this year and should any vacation carry-over?
- Are our payroll procedures in place for next year?
- Are our employee policies and employment agreements up to date?
This e-Learning session provides a general overview of some of the essential tasks employers should undertake in the months of December and January to close out the year and start the New Year off on the right foot. We discuss a variety of topics including planning holiday parties, performance management, statutory holidays, payroll considerations, and vacation.
