Stuart Ducoffe (B.C.L., LL.B., CHRL) is a seasoned employment and labour lawyer. Stuart is the founder of e2r™ and Partner and co-founder of Woolgar VanWiechen Cosgriffe Ducoffe LLP, practicing exclusively in the area of employment and labour law.

Prior to founding e2r and the law firm, Stuart practiced for many years with one of Canada’s largest and most prestigious Canadian law firms. Stuart obtained his law degrees from McGill University in 1984, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1986. Stuart is one of only a small group of employment and labour lawyers certified by the Human Resources Professionals Association as a Certified Human Resources Leader (“CHRL”).

Stuart has advised corporate employers on all matters pertaining to employment law, labour relations, and human rights law. He has appeared before the courts as counsel on behalf of a wide variety of corporate clients as well as administrative tribunals.

Stuart counsels employers with respect to the employment impact of commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions, the negotiation of employment contracts, wrongful dismissal litigation, injunction applications, occupational health and safety, employment standards, workers' compensation and human resources communications and strategy.

Stuart provides ongoing advice to some of Canada’s leading public companies and is often consulted by major Canadian media outlets to provide information and insight in employment law and human resources matters. As a dynamic and “down to earth” speaker, Stuart is regularly requested to speak to employee and managerial groups as well as industry associations. He is also a regular contributing author on human resources and legal matters.

Stuart is actively involved in the community and sits on the board of directors of a major Toronto area not for profit which helps people find work from all walks of life.
